\"ویلیج سیس\" کا مطلب ہے کوئی بھی سیس، شراکت یا واجب الادا جو کہ زمین کے مالکان اور غیر زمینی مالکان سے یکساں طور پر، اس کے باشندوں کے مشترکہ مقاصد کے لیے کسی اسٹیٹ کے اندر، اور نہ ہی کسی کے استعمال کے لیے ادائیگی ہے۔ نجی جائیداد یا ذاتی خدمت کے لیے، اور نہ ہی اس وقت کے لیے کسی قانون کے ذریعے یا اس کے تحت نافذ کیا گیا ہے، اور اس کا مطلب اسٹیٹ میں کسی فرد کے رہائشی یا رہائشیوں کے طبقے کے فائدے کے لیے کوئی سیس، شراکت یا واجب الادا نہیں ہے۔ کسی بھی جائیداد سے متعلق جو تمام رہائشیوں کے مشترکہ استعمال کے لیے نہ ہو:
“village cess” means any cess, contribution or due which is customarily leviable, from land-owners and non-land-owners alike, within an estate for the common purposes of the inhabitants thereof, and is neither a payment for the use of any private property or for personal service, nor imposed by or under any enactment for the time being in force, and does not mean any cess, contribution or due leviable, for the benefit of any individual residents or class of residents in the estate, or in relation to any property which is not meant for the common use of all the residents:
The Board of Revenue is the controlling authority in all matters connected with the administration of land, collection of Land Revenue, preparation of Land Records and other matters relating to thereto.
