The Battle of Camel (جنگِ جمل ) took place on 13 Jumada Al-Awwal 36 A.H (7 November 656 AD). It was fought at Basra ( Iraq ). The battle was between Ali ibn Abi Talib (R.A) and forces led by Aisha bint Abi Bakr (R.A) . It is also called the Battle of Basra or Jamal .
