Explanation

It was taking around 20 to 30 minutes per candidate.

After waiting for about two and a half hours, it was finally my turn. Someone called me:

“Rasool Bakhsh, please come in.”

• Sir, may I come in?
• Yes, please.
• Have a seat, please.
• Thank you, sir.

Q: Rasool, will you please introduce yourself?
A: Of course, sir. My name is... My father's name is... I completed my graduation from... My short-term goal is to get this job, and my long-term goal is to achieve a reputable position in this department. Thank you, sir. That's all.

Q: So, Rasool, what do you know about the Irrigation Department?
A: Yes, sir. As you know, Pakistan is an agricultural country, and the Irrigation Department deals with the distribution and management of water for cultivable land across Pakistan.

Q: Rasool, do you know what cultivated land is?
A: Sir, land that is used for growing crops is called cultivated land.

Q: Rasool, do you know who controls this department at the divisional level?
A: Sorry, sir, I don't know.

Q: Okay, no worries. I'll tell you. The Sub-Engineer controls it.

A: Okay, thank you, sir, for your cooperation.

Q: Well, Rasool, do you know what “Tawan” is?
A: The amount that a farmer or person has to pay as a penalty for water theft is called Tawan.

Q: Okay, good.

Q: Do you know what a surcharge is?
A: Sir, after the due date, the additional amount we pay on an electricity bill is called a surcharge, but I don't know what it is called in the Tawan system.

Q: Rasool, you gave the right answer. Don't worry.

Q: Rasool, by which method does a Patwari inform another officer or report to a superior officer in the case of Tawan or water theft?
A: I don't know, sir. Sorry.

There were a few more questions, but I can't remember them right now.

After that, he asked another panel member:

“Sir, please ask him some questions.”

But the other panel member didn't ask me anything. He simply said:

“Okay, that's fine. You can go.”

Then I asked for permission:

“Sir, may I go?”

They replied:

“Yes, Rasool, you can go.”

I said:

“Thank you, sir, for your time.”
