lw = 297 ... (1)
(l+3)(w-1) = 297 + 3
lw - l + 3w - 3 = 300
297 - l + 3w = 303

Substitute in (2):
-297/w + 3w = 6
3w² - 6w - 297 = 0
w² - 2w - 99 = 0
(w-11)(w+9) = 0
w = 11
l = 297/11 = 27
