PART – I (ENGLISH)
Reading Comprehension
Read the passage and answer the questions at the end.
Once upon a time, a group of tiny frogs organised a running competition. The objective of the race was to reach the top of a very high tower. A large crowd gathered around the tower to witness the event and cheer for the contestants. As the race began, no one in the crowd believed that the tiny frogs could reach the top of the tower. The frogs started climbing, but many began collapsing one by one. Despite this, some frogs maintained their high spirits and continued to climb higher. The crowd kept shouting, “It is too difficult! No one will make it!” Many tiny frogs got tired and gave up. However, one tiny frog kept going. This frog would not give up and continued climbing steadily, higher and higher. After much effort, this single frog finally reached the top and won the competition. A fellow contestant asked how he found the strength to keep climbing, and he gave the answer that left them speechless: “He was deaf”. The wisdom of this story is powerful; never listen to other people when they are being pessimistic. Pessimistic words can take away your most wonderful dreams. Always remember that words have power, and everything you hear and read can influence your actions. Therefore, always stay positive. Surround yourself with positive people and friends. Above all, be deaf when others tell you what you can or cannot do. Believe in yourself, stay focused, and never let the noise of others drown out the voice inside you that says, “Yes, you can.”
