Doing ghusl on Eid is mustahabb. 

It was narrated that the Prophet ﷺ did ghusl on the day of Eid. 

Eid Prayer is Wajib

Eid Salat consists of two 'Rakats' and six 'Takbirs'.

There are two Eid prayers in a year, Eid-ul-fitr and Eid-ul-adha.

The total number of obligatory (Fard) rakats for the five daily prayers is 17:

2 for Fajr,

4 for Dhuhr,

3 for Maghrib,
