Explanation
The Miraj event took place on the 27th of Rajab in the 10th (621 A.D) year of Prophethood.
Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was staying at the house of Umm Hani on the night of Miraj.
That night, Angel Jibreel came to the Prophet (SAW) and took him on the journey of Israa and Miraj.
During Miraj, Hazrat Adam and Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) met at the first heaven.
The event is mentioned in Surah Bani Israel.
It is also known as 'Isra and Mi'raj' or 'Shab-e-Meraj'.
- Isra: Night journey from Makkah to Masjid Al-Aqsa.
- Mi’raj: Journey from Masjid Al-Aqsa to the heavens.
Gifts of the 27th of Rajab:
- The five prescribed daily prayers.
- The last part of the chapter of Al-Baqara (Amanar-Rasulu).
