Natural disasters are sudden and powerful events caused by nature that can bring great damage to human life, property, and the environment. These include earthquakes, floods, cyclones, droughts, and volcanic eruptions. Although humans cannot stop natural disasters, we can reduce their impact by being prepared and aware.

In recent years, natural disasters have increased due to climate change and environmental imbalance. These events destroy homes, roads, and crops, and sometimes cause loss of life. Governments and individuals need to take safety measures such as early warning systems, disaster drills, and emergency planning.

I believe awareness and education about natural disasters can save many lives. We should learn how to respond quickly and safely during such emergencies.

What is the Greatest Threat to Our Environment?

The environment plays a vital role in sustaining life on Earth. It provides us with clean air, water, food, and natural resources. Unfortunately, the environment is facing serious dangers today, and the greatest threat to it is human activity.

One major threat is pollution. Factories, vehicles, and power plants release harmful gases that pollute the air and cause global warming. Water pollution from industrial waste and sewage damages rivers and oceans, killing aquatic life. Land pollution, especially plastic waste, destroys soil quality and harms animals.

Another serious threat is deforestation. Trees are cut down for agriculture, housing, and industrial purposes. Forests help maintain ecological balance by absorbing carbon dioxide and providing oxygen. Their destruction leads to climate change, loss of biodiversity, and natural disasters such as floods and droughts.

Climate change, mainly caused by human actions, is also a major environmental threat. Rising temperatures, melting glaciers, and extreme weather events are affecting ecosystems and human life worldwide.

In conclusion, human activities are the greatest threat to our environment. If people do not change their behavior and adopt environmentally friendly practices, the damage may become irreversible. Protecting the environment is our shared responsibility for the sake of future generations.

ماحول زمین پر زندگی کے لیے نہایت اہم ہے۔ یہ ہمیں صاف ہوا، پانی، خوراک اور قدرتی وسائل فراہم کرتا ہے۔ لیکن آج ماحول کو سنگین خطرات لاحق ہیں، جن میں سب سے بڑا خطرہ انسانی سرگرمیاں ہیں۔

آلودگی ماحول کے لیے ایک بڑا مسئلہ ہے۔ کارخانے، گاڑیاں اور بجلی گھر زہریلی گیسیں خارج کرتے ہیں جو فضا کو آلودہ کر کے عالمی حدت میں اضافہ کرتی ہیں۔ صنعتی فضلہ اور سیوریج کا پانی دریاؤں اور سمندروں کو آلودہ کر دیتا ہے جس سے آبی حیات تباہ ہو جاتی ہے۔ زمین پر پلاسٹک کا کچرا بھی مٹی اور جانوروں کے لیے نقصان دہ ہے۔

موسمی تبدیلی بھی انسانی سرگرمیوں کا نتیجہ ہے۔ درجۂ حرارت میں اضافہ، گلیشیئرز کا پگھلنا اور شدید موسمی حالات انسان اور فطرت دونوں کے لیے خطرناک ہیں۔

آخر میں یہ کہا جا سکتا ہے کہ انسانی سرگرمیاں ماحول کے لیے سب سے بڑا خطرہ ہیں۔ اگر ہم نے بروقت اقدامات نہ کیے تو نقصان ناقابلِ تلافی ہو سکتا ہے۔ آنے والی نسلوں کے بہتر مستقبل کے لیے ماحول کا تحفظ ہم سب کی مشترکہ ذمہ داری ہے۔

Personal Statement (English)

Losing a precious object can be a deeply emotional experience. I once lost a watch that was very special to me because it was a gift from a loved one. It was not expensive, but it held great sentimental value.

When I realized that the watch was missing, I felt upset and anxious. I searched everywhere and kept thinking about the memories attached to it. The loss made me understand that some objects are valuable not because of their price, but because of the emotions and memories connected with them.

Although I could not recover the watch, the experience taught me an important lesson. I learned to be more careful with my belongings and to appreciate what I have before losing it. This incident helped me grow emotionally and made me stronger and more responsible.
