Section 128 – Extension of time for completion of election

This section empowers the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to extend the time for completing an election in any constituency or for any stage of the election process, if necessary

A contesting candidate, before seeking allotment of a prescribed symbol, shall file a declaration before the Returning Officer about his affiliation with a particular political party, if any, along with a certificate from the political party showing that he is that party‘s candidate from the constituency.

Any person aggrieved by any decision or action

taken or direction issued by an authority subordinate to the Commission or any

action of a political party or a candidate in violation of the Code of Conduct may,

within fifteen days of such decision or action, submit a complaint to the

Commission pertaining to matters other than relating to election disputes falling

under Article 225.

Section  82 of the Election Act 2017 deals with admission to the polling station

The Presiding Officer, shall,regulate the number of voters to be admitted to the polling station at one time and shall

exclude from the polling station all other persons except:

(a) any person on duty in connection with the election;

(b) the contesting candidates, their election agents and polling agents;

(c) such other persons as may be specifically permitted by the

Commission or any other authority empowered by the Commission.
